What are Veneers?
Dental veneers are a thin layer of material placed over a tooth. They look like natural teeth and are made up of either composite resin or porcelain. They can be used to correct a variety of dental issues including:
- Chipped or worn teeth
- Crooked teeth
- Uneven spaces or large gaps between the upper front teeth
- Teeth that are stained and can’t be whitened with bleach
Porcelain veneers are made up of a thin shell that is placed over the existing tooth. Not only do they provide natural looking results, but they’re also extremely durable and can last up to 15 years if they’re well looked after. Daily brushing and flossing as well as regular dental cleans will ensure you get the most life out of your veneers.
Composite resin veneers are made up of tooth coloured filling material that is bonded to your existing tooth. It’s sculpted into shape to match the surrounding teeth and then finally smoothed and polished.
